Why Brazilian Butt Lift Technique Matters

At our practice, we utilize a micro-droplet fat grafting technique for our Brazilian Butt Lift procedure to ensure stable, long-lasting results. Fat is first removed from the patient in an area where there is a surplus. It is then purified before being reintroduced to the body. Because the fat is grafted in such small increments, the end results look smoother and more natural. Smaller droplets of fat also revascularize easier compared to larger portions, so the technique we use at Hankins & Sohn Plastic Surgery plays a significant role in the high percentage of fat that survives the grafting process.

Recovery from a Brazilian Butt Lift takes between 1-2 weeks, depending on the extent of the procedure. We advise our patients to avoid prolonged sitting for two weeks after the surgery, as well as wear a compression garment for about a month post-op. Patients will see the effects of the procedure within 6-8 weeks after surgery.

The Brazilian Butt Lift is one of our favorite operations. We consider it a “two birds with one stone” operation – one area of the body is significantly recontoured with liposuction, and the repurposed fat from that area provides our patients with an improved projection and shape to the buttocks. As with any surgery, there are inherent risks, but we minimize these risks through our meticulous technique and careful patient selection.
