Mini Tummy Tuck

A mini tummy tuck is ideal for patients that have only a small to moderate amount of abdominal skin excess located mostly below the level of the belly button. A smaller, c-section type incision is made, making the scar less noticeable, and the recovery much faster. The belly button is left in place without alteration, and the muscles can be tightened below the belly button.

Full Tummy Tuck

The most popular choice with our patients is the full tummy tuck procedure. There is significant removal of the extra skin and fat on the tummy, and the muscles are tightened up, providing a flatter, sleeker appearance. The incision typically runs from hip to hip, but is kept low to hide it below your bikini or panty line. The amount of improvement noted is often quite dramatic, and you will be amazed at how well your clothes fit after this procedure.

Extended Tummy Tuck

Patients with a large amount of extra skin and fat are often better candidates for the extended tummy tuck or even the circumferential tummy tuck. The extended tummy tuck is simply a full tummy tuck with a longer incision, often coupled with liposuction of the love handles to provide improvement all the way around your waist, not solely on the front and sides. If a longer incision is needed, this allows the surgeons to remove more skin and fat without creating extra folds of tissue at the ends of the incision.

Circumferential Tummy Tuck/Lower Body Lift

The circumferential tummy tuck is often reserved for our massive weight loss/post lap band/gastric bypass patients. If you have significant skin and soft-tissue laxity of the abdomen, thighs, and buttocks, you will be best served by a circumferential tummy tuck. This procedure involves an incision that helps to remove skin and fat all the way around the waist, providing a lift to the buttocks and hips at the same time. With this procedure we recommend an overnight stay at an aftercare facility, where a skilled nursing staff can monitor you during the initial postoperative period. The final result of this powerful contouring procedure is a slimmer and flatter tummy, lifted and rejuvenated buttocks, and smoother hips and thighs.
