Hankins and Sohn Plastic Surgery staff, friends, and family participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, held today May 4, 2013 in downtown Las Vegas. Each year, 1.1 million women are diagnosed with breast cancer, and 410,000 die from the disease. We have all been affected and our lives touched by those who have fought breast cancer, including our own family members and patients for whom we perform breast reconstruction. By supporting the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, we look forward to the day when we can say that breast cancer has been eliminated. Thank you to all involved for participating, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
